Nestled in the heart of the Carolinas, our gardens are home to over 1,200 potted daylilies, a stunning selection of Bearded, Japanese, and Siberian Iris, and more than 65 varieties of Hostas—from petite minis to majestic giants. Wander through our extensive display gardens, featuring vibrant blooms, deer-resistant companion plants, and eye-catching garden art. Enjoy a stroll, relax on our shaded porch, and take in the inspiration all around. All of our plants are available for purchase in the garden—including Tom Bruce Introductions, gold-tagged for easy discovery. Whether you’re a collector, gardener, or just love a beautiful day among flowers, Carolina Daylilies is the perfect place to grow your passion.
Meet Tom
Carolina Daylilies is owned and operated by Tom Bruce, an accomplished hybridizer and passionate plantsman whose love for daylilies and iris has earned national recognition. In 2021, Tom received the Jeffcoat Hybridizer Award for his very first introduction, ‘Sunny Attitude.’ His garden is an official Japanese Iris Display Garden, and in 2024, he was elected as a Director of the National Japanese Iris Society for a three-year term.

May 1&2, 15&16, 22&23, 29&30.
June 5th & June 6th
April dates are the best time to see Iris in bloom and May/June dates are best to see blooming daylilies. We do sell daylilies, hosta and iris on all open dates. As such, your best selections are early in the season and early in the day of each Open Date.
